This month, AFCEA Space Coast is proud to recognize Joe Pizzoferrato, Technology Lead for the chapter and an emerging leader working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, workforce development, and national security.
Originally from Ohio, Joe studied biomedical engineering before beginning his defense contracting career in Chicago. He now leads emerging technology efforts for Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT), a specialized service-disabled veteran-owned small business. In this role, Joe helps teams put artificial intelligence to practical use across their programs. He is also deeply committed to mentorship through CPT’s internship program.
Joe’s impact on the AFCEA Space Coast Chapter extends well beyond his official title. In May, he helped bring our new leadership happy hour to life, encouraging several colleagues to attend and get involved. In June, although he could not participate in person, he made sure the chapter was supported by arranging for colleagues to assist with audiovisual setup and troubleshoot equipment on-site.
