AFCEA Space coast STEM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Each year, to promote higher education in the STEM fields of computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and management information systems through financial scholarship awards, AFCEA Space Coast sponsors STEM scholarships for undergraduate college student students.
All students who meet the criteria below are encouraged to apply. We also encourage students whose families include current military members, veterans, and AFCEA Space Coast chapter members to apply.
Eligibility Requirements to Apply:
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Resident within the State of Florida
- Second-year student in a two-year Community College transitioning to a four-year college or university
- Winners of full tuition Scholarships are not eligible.
- Acceptance to a U.S. accredited college or university in a four-year full-time STEM curriculum for computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, cybersecurity, and management information systems; and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I)-related fields of study including electrical, computer, chemical, aerospace, or systems engineering or electronics.
Before you get started, please make sure you have the following items:
- Two (2) single-page letters of recommendation attesting to the student’s qualifications regarding this scholarship.
- AFCEA Member number, if applicable
- List of School and extracurricular activities and awards
- Experience or work history
- A list of all expenses you expect to pay toward college.
- Copy of student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the Department of Education. Please only provide the one-page FAFSA Student Aid Report
- Summary and statement from Guidance Counselor. This piece is mandatory. It will be considered ineligible for grading without this added to your application.
