Amanda Harkness is Vice President of Business Development at MPF Federal, where she focuses on building strategic partnerships, creating opportunities for collaboration, and connecting people and organizations in meaningful ways. With more than 20 years of experience in recruiting and business development across both the public and private sectors, Amanda has built her career around understanding people, recognizing where there is a strong fit, and bringing the right individuals and organizations together.
She often jokes that much of what she does is really professional matchmaking. For Amanda, business development is not simply about finding the next opportunity. It is about developing genuine relationships, understanding where strengths complement one another, and creating connections that can lead to something valuable for everyone involved.
Amanda has been a member of the AFCEA Space Coast Chapter for the past two years and is a strong advocate for the chapter and the role it plays in bringing together the Space Coast defense, space, government, and industry communities. She is also an active member of Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter and serves on the Women In Defense National Advisory Board.
What Amanda enjoys most is connecting people who should know one another. Whether she is helping form a partnership, introducing two professionals with shared interests, or finding a creative way for organizations to collaborate, she finds the greatest value in building relationships that have the potential to grow into something meaningful.
